When an employer or institution scans the QR or visits the verification link, they see a real-time verification page confirming the issuer name, recipient name, award date, credential criteria, and current validity status — including if the credential has expired or been revoked.

Do employers need a CertifyMe account to verify a credential?

No. Certificate verification is fully public and requires no account, login, or fee. Anyone with the credential link or QR code can verify it instantly. This makes verification frictionless for employers, background check services, and institutions worldwide.

Can a fake digital certificate be detected?

Yes. CertifyMe credentials are cryptographically signed. Any modification to the credential content — including recipient name, issue date, or issuing organisation — invalidates the signature. A forged or altered credential will fail verification immediately.
